Joseph P. “Big Joe” Grondorf

June 3, 1966 – February 19, 2018

Joseph Grondorf, 51, of Coos Bay, passed away February 19, 2018, at Coos Bay. Cremation rites are under the direction of Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary.

Joseph was born June 3, 1966 in Hawthorne, California and was raised and educated in North Bend, Oregon, graduating from North Bend High School in 1984. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for many years as a building contractor.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Montgomery, son, Joey Grondorf, sister, Nicki Simmons, niece, Stephanie Roe, step-sister, Luann Montgomery and family and step-brother, George Montgomery and family, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Paul Grondorf, step-father, Robert E. Montgomery, and a step-brother, Robert L. Montgomery.
