Diana was born on September 22, 1954 to Edward Earnest and Joetta Elinor (Penn) Crow in Verdun (Meuse), France. Diana grew up in a military family and moved to many places throughout her life. She attended high school at Putnam City West in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In her junior high years, she won many medals swimming. She mastered the skill and competed in the butterfly event. Then while her father was stationed near Columbus, Georgia, Diana became a swimming instructor. She also had achieved an U.S. presidential acclamation in debate competition. After high school, Diana studied advertising, marketing, and sales. She made her way to the corporate level promoting the sales of records and the CD industry. She became a regional manager in the Midwest and arranged many in-service performances of leading professional musicians.
In 1968, Diana met Roger Soard while attending a dance where Roger fell in love at first sight. They connected again with each other years later and then married in 1989 settling down in Reedsport, Oregon, then later moving to Coos Bay. Diana brought two children with her, Alicia and Jeffery, both then graduated from Reedsport High school.
Diana was happiest when she was sitting in her sunroom watching the deer and feeding the many birds, along with her skills in growing vegetables and cultivating roses. She had the brightest smile that can light up a room.
She is survived by her best friend and beloved husband of 33 years, Roger Soard; children, Alicia Kennebeck and Jeffery Frizzell; grandchildren, Piper Frizzell, Gibson Frizzell, and Seth Kennebeck. Her sister Debbie Wooley, brother John Crow and many other loving family members and friends will miss Diana.
