Roberta M. Galten

Roberta M. Galten passed away August 15, 2025 in Coos Bay, Oregon at the age of 80. She was born November 28, 1944 in Long Beach, California. Roberta was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by husband James Galten and son Timothy Galten.

Roberta was a skilled nurse for over 20 years in Concord, California specializing in hematology-oncology. After moving to Oregon in 1987 she and her husband Jim opened the beautiful Headlands Country Mercantile gift store. In her retirement, she volunteered her time at the Coquille Ladies Auxiliary VFW where she was the chapter president for 12+ years and she enjoyed working as a care giver.

Roberta is survived by children, Theresa Galten and Lisa Galten, son-in-law Fernando Nava, grandchildren Maya Nava and Gabriel Nava. She is also survived by brothers Lynn Haller and Baron Velcoff and sister Laurie Haller. Roberta served as a nurse in the US Navy and will be laid to rest at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
