William Earl Johnson

July 27, 1950 – December 29, 2025

A graveside service will be held with military honors for William Earl Johnson, 75, of Myrtle Point, at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay, Oregon under the direction of Nelson’s Bay Area Mortuary.

William was born July 27, 1950, in North Bend, Oregon, the son of Edward Grant and Avalina Josephina (King) Johnson.  He passed away December 29, 2025 at Springfield, Oregon.

William was raised and educated in Coos County, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and after his service returned to Coos County.  He worked as a ranch hand, logger, and as a laborer on many building projects through the years. 

He is survived by his brothers, Edward Grant, Jr. and Melvin Johnson and his sisters, Mary Jane, Anna June, Betty Lou, Donna Jean, and Linda Kay and many nieces and nephews including Victoria Nolan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ralph, John, Jess, and Roger and by his sisters Marguerite and Alice.
